Hello and welcome to my website!  Here, you’ll discover the plays I’ve written from Be My Baby in 1998 to the present day.

I’m one of the most widely-produced playwrights in the UK. Be My Baby and The Thrill of Love are studied for GCSE & A level.  Ladies Day just keeps on running and 20 years after its first production, still features in Nick Hern Books Most Performed Plays of 2025.

I also wrote the book for the joyous Fisherman’s Friends: The Musical, which opened the new Hall for Cornwall and toured the UK in 2022-23. Audio dramas include seven series of the award-winning D for Dexter on BBC Radio 4.

Bollywood, boxing and ballroom, women’s football, WPCs, amateur girls and movie stars are all here. My work is known for placing women’s lives and experience centre-stage.  Thank you to all brilliant companies, artists and audiences who bring it to life.
